Baxter Regional Medical Center - Working on Reducing ADEs
Baxter Regional Medical Center, a 268-bed facility in Mountain Home, Arkansas, used best practices and peer-to-peer learning to reduce harm across the board. By creating a culture of collaboration, the hospital reduced patient harm by about 50 percent. Significant results were achieved by minimizing adverse drug events, falls with injury, catheter-associated urinary tract infections, and pressure ulcers. Baxter Regional Medical Center was part of the AHA/HRET Hospital Engagement Network.
