Hospital Menonita de Aibonito - Minimizing the risk for falls

Hospital Menonita de Aibonito, a 150-bed facility in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, used best practices and peer-to-peer learning to reduce harm across the board, including falls prevention. Multidisciplinary teams focus on quality indicators and meet daily to review the data and plan patient care accordingly. The hospital has reduced catheter-associated urinary tract infections and significantly reduced falls with or without injury. Hospital Menonita de Aibonito was part of the AHA/HRET Hospital Engagement Network.
