Master Lessons in Quality

Learn from the best of the best. The 2013 AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize® recipients will share their quality improvement stories during a two-part Hospitals in Pursuit of Excellence webinar series. These hospitals and care systems have committed in a systematic manner to achieving the Institute of Medicine’s six aims for quality improvement: safety, patient-centeredness, effectiveness, efficiency, timeliness and equity. Finalist Franklin Woods Community Hospital, Johnson City, Tenn., and Citation of Merit recipient St. Mary’s Hospital, Centralia, Ill., will present on October 17. This year’s winner Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, and Citation of Merit recipient Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, N.C., will present on November 19. Leaders from these health care organizations will discuss successful programs and strategies and participate in a question-and-answer session.
