Celebrating Excellence in Health Care

Each year, the Illinois Hospital Association recognizes and celebrates the achievements of Illinois hospitals in continually improving and transforming health care in the state. These hospitals and health systems are improving health by striving to achieve the Triple Aim—improving the patient experience of care (including quality and satisfaction); improving the health of populations; and reducing the per capita cost of health care. Hospitals in Pursuit of Excellence and the IHA are partnering to highlight case studies from the award-winning hospitals. New case studies are posted regularly on HPOE.org, covering topics that range from reducing central line-associated bloodstream infections to creating a daily operations report and emergency department scorecard to track quality, patient satisfaction, productivity, and ED throughput measures.
