Using Coalitions to Foster Collaboration in Population Health

Hospitals and health systems continually push to improve the health of their communities. Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), the 2015 American Hospital Association Foster McGaw award winner, uses coalition collaborations as a model to improve community health. The Foster G. McGaw Prize recognizes hospitals that have distinguished themselves through efforts to improve the health and well-being of everyone in their communities. Participants learned how MGH has deployed several community health interventions and the value these coalitions play within their strategic plan.
