2013 American Hospital Association-McKesson Quest for Quality prize
The AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality prize honors hospitals that have a committed in a systemic manner to achieving the Institute of Medicine's six quality aims--safety, patient-centeredness, effectiveness, efficiency, equity and timeliness. Winners are announced and honored each July at the AHA Health Forum Leadership Summit with a short video on their achievements. The 2013 winners are:
The winner is Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston
The finalist is Franklin Woods Community Hospital, Johnson City, Ten.
Citation of Merits are awarded to St. Mary’s Hospital, Centralia, Ill., and Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, N.C.
