Enterprise Risk Management: The Key to Health Care Transformation

The transformation of health care is occurring at a rapid pace causing an increase in the need to manage emerging risks and uncertainty. Enterprise Risk Management is not only the best process for managing uncertainty but is also a business tool for strategic decisions. In this joint HPOE and ASHRM webinar, the methods to assist leaders in identifying both risk and reward were discussed. Case examples were used to aid leaders in building a culture focused on an integrated ERM approach. 

During this webinar, participants learned to:

  • Identify the role of the C-suite in leading the culture shift towards a holistic approach to ERM
  • Describe the ERM principles for identifying risk and opportunity to protect and create value
  • Define the methods and diagnostic tools for ERM such as stress testing, total risk profiling, setting triggers for key risk drivers and establishing key performance indicators
  • Describe the positive impact of ERM as part of the strategic decision making process
