Annotated Model Physician-Hospital Employment Agreement

Many physicians are becoming employees of hospitals, medical groups or affiliate organizations. For the physician making a career move—and looking to do so with greater knowledge and confidence—the American Medical Association offers Annotated Model Physician-Hospital Employment Agreement. It provides physicians with guidelines when negotiated an employment contract with a hospital or related entity.

It provides background on establishing goals and special sconsiderations such as limits of autonomy, fair market value limitations and coordination with hospital medical staff bylaws.
