Nurse Executive Competencies: Population Health

The American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) released the Nurse Executive Competencies: Population Health to support the role of the nurse leader in population health management. As an advocate for community health needs and patient populations, the nurse executive serves as an agent of change in this strategic effort. Utilizing a cross-walk of the AONE Nurse Executive Competencies and the AONE Nurse Executive Competencies: Post Care Acute, these new competencies are grounded in the domains of communication and relationship building, knowledge of the health care environment, leadership, professionalism and business skills.
