Burn Telemedicine Program

Telemedicine, successfully used in many areas of medicine, has yet to be evaluated during the rehabilitation phase of care. An initiative at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital linked the burn center in an academic medical center with a rehabilitation facility. The goal was to evaluate the use of telemedicine and its effects on patients, providers and cost in the transition and quality of care.
